Board member of Florida Community Loan Fund and former Vice President of Florida Housing Coalition and Pinellas County Coalition for the Homeless. Retired Director of Pinellas County Community Development and the Housing Finance Authority of Pinellas County.

David A Buckel

Throughout his career at pre-revenue start-up, revenue based start-up and longstanding companies with hundreds of millions of revenue, Mr. Buckel has hands-on experience creating accounting and control systems and processes, financial statements, business development, robust financial forecasting, capital markets and debt financing, managing operations, communication with board of director and investors, financial and operating metrics, dashboards, cash flow forecast, budget processes, trend analysis and managing auditors.

Frank Wells

Frank Wells serves as President and CEO of Venture House, in addition to his work as Chief Executive of World Power & Water, a developer of utility-scale renewable energy projects, after a previous career as a conductor and arts executive. Frank is known for his leadership and service in the community: an Eagle Scout at a young age; graduate of Leadership St Pete and Leadership Tampa Bay and current class member of the statewide Wedgworth Leadership Institute; serving in many leadership roles, including Boards as diverse as the Science Center of Pinellas County and the Pinellas County Historical Society; Chair of the opening gala for the Chihuly Collection; and a member of St Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman’s Transition Team. As a sixth-generation resident of Pinellas County, a serial entrepreneur, and previously a professional musician, Frank understands the need for our community to come together to support its entrepreneurs and artists and provide attention and resources to all its neighborhoods, and is proud to lead Venture House toward that goal.

Lisa Wheeler-Brown

Lisa Wheeler-Brown is a community activist and gun violence prevention advocate. Lisa currently serves as the President of South Pinellas Council of Neighborhood Associations, President of Wildwood Neighborhood Association, and the Honorary Chair of the Florida Holocaust Museum community project “Speak Up, Speak Now.” Lisa has been honored as the 2011 NAACP Social Justice Award Recipient, 2013 Florida Holocaust Museum Loebenberg Humanitarian Award Winner, 2013 National Crime Victims Rights Courage Award Winner, 2014 MLK Drum Major for Justice Award Winner and 2014 Woman of Distinction Community Service Award Winner. She is also the co-author of Advocate for a Healthy Neighborhood Results Based How to Guide. A St. Petersburg native, Lisa graduated from Boca Ciega High School and then served in the United States Army.

Rob Bocik

Rob Bocik and his wife Zoe run Funktionhouse, an urban lumber and craft wood studio making local artisan furniture and furnishing from recycled local trees. He also sits on the Board of the Warehouse Arts District Association. Rob formerly worked with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development on neighborhood revitalization programs in Chicago, including the renovation of several hundred units of affordable housing.
